On Saturday October 13th, the Olde Southport Village Shoppes hosted their 2nd annual Fall Festival.  The Olde Southport Village was built in 1996 and consists of twelve small shops that portray a southern charm that is evident when you first arrive.  With jams, local honey, art work and furniture the shopping they are sure to have something for everyone.  As if shopping at the Village Shoppes wasn’t enough, the festival featured face painting for children, food trucks, corn eating contest and a cornhole tournament so people of all ages had something to enjoy.  The best part about this event was that all proceeds were sent to the Southport Rotary Evening Club Youth Literacy Program.  With a beautiful fall day, good food, shopping and plenty of contests this years festival was a huge success.  If you didn’t get a chance to make it this year, there is always next year.
