First Impressions by Artis Reed

Curb Appeal Matters

I recently read an article in Money Magazine about the whitewashed exteriors of bed/breakfast and hotels in Santorini, Greece. I remember these images from my visit to the island a few years ago and how impressive was its curb appeal.  According to the article, hotels spend a significant amount of money to maintain the pristine look. It’s a great return on investment too! The photos are captivating and the hotels are always booked!

On a similar note, if your home is on the market you should be conscious of what you are showing potential buyers. After all, as the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Here are a some tips to freshen up your home’s curb appeal:

If you like gardening, planting trees and flowers adds beauty to a property.

Paint or give your exterior a power wash.

Make the front door inviting and add a cheerful doormat.

Install outdoor lighting.

Bottom line… curb appeal matters!

A careful curated effort will help sell your home quickly and at a good price.
